For those who are a little twisted inside, Naughty Bear is PERFECT. You’re “Naughty” the bear, who is always excluded from the parties and such on “Perfection Island”. They make you angry with their exclusion, so you get to “punish” the other bears. In the first case, you’re upset you didn’t get invited to Daddle’s birthday party. You can sneak around the island (which is in 3 parts) or you can run around and simply cause mayhem. But! If you run around, you could get hurt. Cake can only raise your health so much.

The Gold Edition of Naughty Bear is out right now for PS3 and 360. The new cover for the Gold Edition is just priceless and alone makes it a game you need to add to your gaming collection.

This psychopath teddy bear is out for revenge and stuffed with evil intentions. Striking terror in the hearts of all bears, Naughty Bear let’s you scare the stuffing out of your victims before you impale them on your machete. Filled with over the top cartoon violence, this one of a kind adventure game is built on an innovative AI foundation that makes this game hours of fun for gamers of all levels. Naughty Bear – a game about being naughty.

  • The game experience is different every time with a huge number of choices the player can make.
  • Watch the bears gang up on you and work together
  • Evade the Fuzz’, and increasingly dangerous Teddies as they scramble to react to your extreme naughtiness
  • Earn points through scares, intimidation and kills- Rack up the points as you rack up the body count!

For all of your weapons, the best would have to be simply the “Boo” because it has the potential to drive bears insane after a few good scares. Couple it with either sabotaging or destroying the ways off the island, phones, power and machinery to get some very awesome kill scenes – It’s very amazing. The basic idea is to make chain kills and do all unique kills the build points and to get your kill multiplier up as high as possible to make your score even bigger. You can also compare your high scores with your friends (if they have played the game) and get those bragging rights.

As you progress, you unlock other stages and costumes. There are a few “super hero” bears that you can use in certain stages to confuse your prey and have them on your side without knowing it.  This helps with insanity challenges, as well as “Untouchable” (different modes in the game) because if they don’t know it’s you, then they wont attack. “Total Defluffication!”. You can also make traps for other bears to fall for so you can sneak up for a special kill, this includes sabotaging the phone, electricity, arcade machines and more to keep the other bears bust trying to fix it while you sneak up for the kill.

Though the challenges are essentially different, a downfall is that the island never changes. But with the Gold Edition of Naughty Bear you get tons of add-on content which includes:

  • Twice the Content
  • $25 DLC Value
  • New Epic Episodes (3 new episodes!)
  • New Comic Kills
  • More Weapons
  • Killer Costumes
  • Enhanced Multiplayer and new modes!

Though the game is quite repetitive, but it has many joys (like having insane bears kill themselves).  Some of the annoying parts I found was screen angles, at times the camera wont move and your stuck getting hit without being able to see the attacker, this alone is quite annoying. I would also suggest that a “target lock-on” wouldn’t hurt as well so you can easier to attack and block incoming attacks without missing your target.

After all, what other game could you kill a teddy bear in and it not be crazy?

Game 2 Gamer’s Final Score 3.5 / 5

Okay that is just Bad Ass!!!! I have to get me a copy of this! That is just hilariously sickening that it tickles my funny bone! To be able to play a cute stuffed teddy bear and go on a rampage is my kind of action!
