Portal 2 draws from the award-winning formula of innovative gameplay, story, and music that earned the original Portal over 70 industry accolades and created a cult following.

The single-player portion of Portal 2 introduces a cast of dynamic new characters, a host of fresh puzzle elements, and a much larger set of devious test chambers. Players will explore never-before-seen areas of the Aperture Science Labs and be reunited with GLaDOS, the occasionally murderous computer companion who guided them through the original game.
The game’s two-player cooperative mode features its own entirely separate campaign with a unique story, test chambers, and two new player characters. This new mode forces players to reconsider everything they thought they knew about portals. Success will require them to not just act cooperatively, but to think cooperatively.

The sense of humor that we all love from Valve does not fall short in Portal 2, from the moment you start to the last second you put the controller down.

When you start the game you wake up being called “test subject” and you follow a few simple steps and go into a hibernation state. Something goes wrong and you wake up much, much later. Everything is falling apart and deteriorating.  This is when you get to meet the smart witted Wheatley robot.  The sense of humor and witty commentary of Wheatley makes you want to keep playing just to hear what him my say next.

As you start and make your way through the rubble you pick up the basics of the game and learn different ways to use portals that you can great. A portal is a hole you shot anywhere you want and the you come out through a different side or place. Hence the name Portal 2 J

After going through all the tests and basic moves of the game you get to move on to the fun of it all that we have all waited for. Valve has not disappointed, with new maps, skills and puzzles with challenges along the way.

Controls are spot on with no problems at all. You command it, it happens. The graphics are more pleasing then the original game. We found no glitches or problems so far in the gameplay. If you happen to find one, then you must not be playing the game correctly.

With the co-op of the game is a must for anyone. Portal 2 has a whole different campaign for the co-op players, you can play cooperatively online, or offline. Must games today only have multiplayer modes online. We applaud Valve for making a co-op off-line.

Portal 2 is a must buy game of the spring/summer season. One of the most anticipated games since the announcement of it. Valve lived up to the hype and has not let down its fans of the series! Here’s to hoping we have games to keep the series going for in the future!

  1. I may think about getting this game in the future. Perhaps along with LA Noire as well 🙂

I had the same problems with this one as I did the last one.
Too much “Escaping” not enough “Testing”.
    GLaDOS gets a bit annoying.
The game just really feels like it tries too hard to be funny a lot of times.

Although I’m apparently the only one that thinks that about the game. Oh well.
