Zen Studios is back with their latest table release of Marvel’s Captain America to join the other super hero’s! Zen Studios released this table at the best time, when Marvel games are doing great, the movie is right around the corner and everyone loves pinball.

Set in the classic World War II environment inspired by Ed Brubaker’s Captain America 65th Anniversary Special, the table engages Cap, Bucky and members of the Howling Commandos in a full assault on Baron Zemo’s castle, where Zemo’s Death Ray and canisters of Adhesive X must be neutralized. As the game progresses, Cap will need to free his friends in the Howling Commandos and defeat several low-level missions as he works to confront the Sleeper before taking the Cosmic Cube from the Red Skull in the final battle.

As stated with other Pinball FX2 reviews the mechanics of the game are amazing and dead on as so is the controls of the table and timing. Everyone knows how important timing is for a table top pinball game, to get the perfect and aim where you want the ball to go. And Zen Studios left nothing out in that department! We hope there is more tables to come from them and of course more super hero tables as well (hint hint at you Zen, Deadpool table. We want!)

The animations of Captain America when taking on his enemies (Red Skull, Baron Zemo, Ect) almost makes the game like a cartoon and you want to watch it, and at times you may forget you’re playing and space out to watch the little details the Zen put into this game. To use it feels as if every Marvel table that Zen Studios Releases just keeps surpassing the previous ones and is more then with the price tag to add the table to your collection. It’s a bummer we didn’t see a Thor table to go along side Iron Man and Capt!

This is by far one, if not the best table yet by Zen Studios. It’s easy to play, it makes the player feel comfortable in the controls and trying to activate the special scenes and fights to get watch. The mini games inside the pinball itself is truly amazing, as one game Capt will jump up to the left side of the table and smaller pinballs will be shot at him and you will deflect them with your shield by rotating him with the left stick.

With the tables that have been coming out by Zen Studios and the amount of content you get per table, this is a must buy for all gamers, the casual gamer or the hard core player, this is perfect for everyone!

Captain America will seamlessly integrate into the Pinball FX2 platform on Xbox LIVE® Arcade, and Marvel Pinball platform on PlayStation Network, with full social feature support. “Fantastic Four” will also feature new Achievements and Trophies, operators menu and rule sheet.

Captain America will be available on June 28, 2011 for PlayStation®Network and June 29, 2011 for Xbox LIVE®Arcade.

Game 2 Gamer’s Final Score 4.5 / 5
