A DREAM COME TRUE FOR VIDEO GAME FANS & MUSIC LOVERS:
Once-In-A-Lifetime Concert Comes to Denver on April, 7, 2012 at Boettcher Concert Hall
Based on one of the most popular and beloved games of all time, “The Legend of Zelda™: Symphony of the Goddesses Tour” is a spectacular concert that features live orchestral performances of theme music from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda franchise. The concert is touring North America and is coming to Denver, CO on April 7, 2012 at Boettcher Concert Hall with the Colorado Symphony.
The name “Symphony of the Goddesses” refers not only to the concert program but also to the new four-movement symphony recounting the classic storylines from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time™, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker™, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess™, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past™. The concert also will highlight orchestral renditions of music from other series games, including The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening™ and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask™. The full orchestra will be conducted by Eímear Noone with arrangements by music director Chad Seiter.
Since first appearing in 1986, The Legend of Zelda game series has sold more than 65 million units worldwide. The most recent entry in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, launched exclusively for the Wii™ console in November 2011, just in time for the series’ highly anticipated 25th Anniversary celebrations.
“For fans of Zelda and music lovers everywhere, this is a once-in-a-lifetime treat,” notes Jason Michael Paul, executive producer of Jason Michael Paul Productions, Inc., which is producing the concert tour. “This is a celebration of Zelda, of beautiful and heart stopping music, and of the enduring legacy of video games,” adds Paul.
“The love that fans feel for The Legend of Zelda series cannot be overstated,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “In 2012, we want to give people across the country a chance to come together and enjoy the music from the games that mean so much to so many.”
