DC Comics and WB Games together with Netherrealm Games brought back their hit Injustice for a sequel. With a very compelling story, amazing gameplay, great character development, there is just so much packed into this game that puts it above other fighting genre games. So let’s get into this review and break it down.

The story starts with you as Batman trying to keep Superman in jail? I know right? Superman is in jail, well at the end of the first Injustice Superman Kills the Joker because the Joker Killed Superman’s wife and future mother of his unborn child Lois Lane, and as most comic book lovers know, Batman’s only rule is no killing. No matter who or what. And Superman crossed that line. So with Brainiac invading the earth to destroy it, the followers of Superman decide they need his help and need to break him out of jail to save the earth. But Batman does not want this.

You progress through the story and at certain times you can pick a character you want to use in a fight, but only the ones that are going through the story. For example, Batman sends Black Carney and Green Arrow on a mission. They meet up with Bane, and you can choose which one you want to fight Bane, and a little surprise that each character has a unique interaction and dialog with Bane. If you had been keeping up with our news and posts about Injustice 2 you will now about each characters super power move.

A super power move is when your meter bar is full from attacking and taking hits you can perform a super move. Batman’s super move is he ties a balloon on you that lifts you into the air that allows the Batwing to take a hold of you and begins to shoot at you and blows you back to the battlegrounds. These super moves usually will drain about 40% of your health bar. The Clash feature is very cool. What this does is allows you to get into a clash which each person will pick how many meter bars they wish to wager and whoever wagers the most will win the clash and will regain some health. Usually around 30% health regain.

The controls are very fluid and responsive. No known lag issues that are noticeable. But then again it is a fighting game and win some one does lose you can always blame it on the controls. The CGI of the game is flawless moving in and out of cut scenes to game play. You can tell Netherrealms took their time with this game and put so much heart into it. Some games feel rushed and pushed in order to release it and just have a product out there. This is not one of those games. This does also feature a endless customization of characters, adding to the suits and armor, and weapons You can go through the game and get both endings with ether picking which side you want to win, this is ether Superman or Batman’s side, by doing this changes the world and fate of some people. And for those achievement and trophy hunters, you need to do both to get it. And it is worth it just to see how it changes the fate of the world. The game also features the DC Comics Multiverse, which allows you to fight other earths, collect new equipment and level up your characters. Injustice 2 is a can’t miss and a must have. Just a friggin’ sweet game you don’t want to miss.

Game 2 Gamer’s Final Score – 5 / 5

Frustration Level –

Replay Value – High
