Popeye – Deluxe Sailor Edition One:12 Review

Mezco Toyz dropped us with a amazing exclusive of Popeye. Just when we couldn’t love Mezco any more, they gave us a Popeye sporting his Navy Whites outfit.

One of, if not the best figure yet out of the One:12 Collective from Mezco Toyz. With each figure they make they just keep moving the echelon higher. With this Popeye figure a whole new generation are being re-introduced to what they have missed out on with Popeye!

The figure features 28 point of articulation and can just about be put into any pose your mind can think of! With multiple accessories such as pipes, different head portraits, spinach cans, sets of hands, duffle bag and pea coat. This figure jumps straight out of the cartoon and into collections!

We are hoping Mezco continues this line and gives us a Bluto to be able to pair up the two! The most unique feature of this One:12 figure is the packaging. It comes in a can shipped tin, almost and vintage spinach can. It is such a great piece to display the can by itself and has a 40’-50’ look to it with wear! The One:12 Collective Popeye – Deluxe Sailor Edition features Popeye sporting Navy whites, just as he did in the animated shorts between 1940 and 1960. Packaged neatly in a deluxe tin shaped like a spinach can, Popeye comes complete with two head portraits and a wide range of accessories including: a removable pea coat, a duffle bag with functional drawstring, a collapsible spy glass, a compass with hinged lid, two spinach cans, three different hats, and two styles of corncob pipes.
