Power Rangers are bigger than ever these days and with the success of the mobile platform game Power Rangers Legacy Wars, game developer nWay decided to make the full length game. nWay also known for the game Chronoblade were founded in 2011 by gaming and start-up veterans wanting to bring their games across all gaming platforms. Power Rangers Battle for the Grid, with its initial release in 2019 on digital download across all gaming platforms, it is now putting out it’s collector’s edition physical disk and upgraded digital download. They added more playable characters and skins, more to the story mode, and put more to the online battling with cross-platform play on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Google Stadia starting the summer of 2020 (first game to do so).

Early reviews of the game back in 2019 left it little to be desired and nWay took that as a challenge and listened. Not only the addition of brand new Power Rangers, never before seen in the TV series, they have added to the initially short story mode and made it more challenging overall. This game overall is great for fun casual play to fight others from across the world. Its move sets are easy to learn making it perfect for the younger generations of Power Ranger fans to get into gaming and some more complicated moves that make for some powerful attacks. For the more seasoned gamers it has an increased challenge in the story mode making you take your time and not just power through the game like at the beginning.

With the new updates of the Season 3 you get 3 more playable characters, new character skin for Dai Shi, new Samurai Megazord, and Megazord revamp. Season 3 DLC content can be purchased for $5.99 each or $14.99 for all the characters. This will make for even better game play and let you have a wider selection of teammates to bring multiple levels of fun and play. The 3v3 player battle lets you pick different rangers and villains to fight together and add different skills to the fight

OVERALL, this is a fun game to be had by all from a beginner to advanced player. nWay really came through for their fans giving us what we wanted. My recommendation is have fun, play with EVERY character, and try your hand at the online play

Game 2 Gamer’s Final Score: 3.5 / 5
