The Saints are back! As the future Boss, with Neenah, Kevin, and Eli by your side, you’ll form The Saints – and take on Los Panteros, The Idols, and Marshall as you build your empire across the streets of Santo Ileso and battle for control of the city. Ultimately Saints Row is the story of a start-up company, it’s just that the business The Saints are in happens to be crime.

Experience the biggest and best Saints Row playground ever created; the unique sprawling world of Santo Ileso is the backdrop for a wild, larger than life sandbox of thrilling side hustles, criminal ventures and blockbuster missions, as you shoot, drive, and wingsuit your way to the top.

You start the game as a member of the Marshalls, a law enforcement group that keeps the peace. You  start your first day on the job things go left on you and it’s on you to get the job done and take down crim boss The Nahualli, a knife fighter and gun slinger almost old western type of feel. Needless to say, you bring him down and get the job done while breaking rules along the way to get it done. Because of this, command says you can’t follow rules and orders, because of this you end up being fired…

So why not go back to what you do best? Crime! This is when the Saints are born and you start to build your criminal empire. Saints Row (2022) features some of the most customizable features and able to create so many unique looks, If you search, we have seen custom made characters that range from The Joker, The Hulk all the way to celebrities, actors and I even think there was a Post Malone… Just the amount of creativity is insane.

As always, the Saints Row games feature an open world map and a GTA feel, Boosting cars, shooting at and killing whoever you want. There are no rules for you and just the whole map is your playground. Enjoy it. Now I know there are some people out there that aren’t happy with the new Saints Row, but go into this game with an open mind and just enjoy it as games are meant to be.

As always you have the choice of sticking to the main story missions or doing side missions that bring you more power and money coming in to help further your criminal empire. The mechanics of the game are your basic open world GTA type. Run around and do missions. The graphics are great and not lacking in my opinion, the new “take-down” feature is a real pleasant treat. When your meter is full after making kills you can push the Triangle/Y button to perform an instant kill with one of 8 or 10 unique animations to finish off an enemy.

Saints Row (2022) Seriously kept me engaged for long enough to finish the game and enjoy it all along the way to the end. I gotta admit the ending story to me was actually good and fun to watch the CGI scenes as well. With DLC content coming later on it with just add to the playability, but with that said the replay ability takes a hit once all the missions and side missions are done. Saints Row does add co-op mode and this gives more to the game and gives you a chance to  have some fun with a buddy. As a added bonus, anything your co-op partner gets during the game carries over into their own game. So their time isn’t wasted.

Game 2 Gamer’s Final Score 4 / 5

Frustration Level: Low (Depending on difficulty setting)

Replay Value: Mid
