Zombies? Check. Thousands of zombies, uh yes! World War Z takes what we love about zombie games and amps it up with just a unheard of number of zombies. The history of this game comes from the amazing book as well as the hit movie with Brad Pitt. It does not disappoint with the action and terror of a true survival story into a full out action game!
World War Z gives you 3 different episode across the world with 4 people in each of the episodes. You can do co-op or single player as well as online multiplayer. A problem with the co-op that we found to be a downfall of the game is that if you and a buddy want to play a campaign mission it pairs you with random people. There is no private matches or games and you can’t fill the other players with A.I. The Zombies in this game is like nothing you have ever seen, just like the movie they will start climbing on top of one another like ants and reach wherever you are. It is a sight to see!
The more you play, the more you can level up your weapons and unlock upgrades for them. Which of course is insanely helpful when you have just a sea of zombies rushing towards you and you need to start dropping zombies fast, so that extra damage comes in handy. In case they get in close, you do have a melee attack, but careful because you tire after 5 swings and need time to rest.
You get you main weapon you carry, shotgun, rifle and such, you can also carry a heavy weapon. The heavy weapon is like the automatic shotgun, chainsaw and a few others, but these weapons cannot be refilled for ammo and once its empty, you lose it… Did we say chainsaw?? Yes, yes we did! You can start swinging a chainsaw around hordes of zombies and just start cutting them down! So friggin’ sweet!
All in all the game is amazingly fun and especially for the price, you can’t beat it! We feel this game was a sleeper of releases and snuck by a lot of people. The word needs to get out that World War Z is a game that is a must play and a action packed time! Just a amazing time and fun as come be! Pick it up and give it a run through!
